Great Idea
Here is a great idea that will greatly improve your success with 3-Dimensional cookies.

Roll out the cookie dough directly on Parchment paper. (This can be found at your local grocery store by the waxed paper.) Cut out your pieces for the cookies, and lift the dough from around the cut out cookies. You bake your cookies right on the parchment paper. This way, the pieces don't have to be transferred to the cookie sheet. It is important to maintain the shape of the cut outs so they fit together properly.

Slide the prepared cut outs on the parchment paper onto the cookie sheets and bake according to directions. While they are baking, you can prepare the next batch of cut outs. When the first batch is done, slide the parchment paper off of the cookie sheet to cool, and slide the next batch on. When the cookies are completely cooled, just peel them off of the parchment paper and reuse for the next batch. Once you find out how easy it is to use parchment paper, you'll always have a supply handy.
